To keep our family, our staff and our guests safe during your stay at Glenartney, we are implementing a number of changes to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19.
Although there will be less contact with our staff and ourselves during your stay, we will continue to focus on making your stay as enjoyable as it can be.
Below are some of the changes we want to share with you.
To help reduce contact time at check-in we will ask you to do the following before arriving at Glenartney:
Contactless payments – we will email a link so you can pay online before you arrive.
Track & trace – the lead booker will be asked to confirm contact details of all guests.
Symptoms – you will be asked to confirm that you are not displaying any Covid-19 symptoms before travelling to Arran. If you feel unwell, or suspect you may have come into contact with the virus, please cancel your booking. You will not be charged for cancelling your booking at short notice due to suspected Covid-19.
Check-in time – check-in is from 4pm. We will ask you to confirm your check-in time so that arrivals can be staggered. Early check-in is not available as we will be carrying out appropriate hygiene and cleaning procedures.
DURING YOUR STAY
To minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19 we all need to do our bit. The key things you can do during your stay are:
- follow instructions & signs throughout the house
- clean & sanitise your hands regularly
- social distance (2m) from those not in your household group
- catch coughs & sneezes
- limit what you touch when moving around the house
- self isolate & book a test if you have Covid-19 symptoms
Check-in – at check-in you will be welcomed at a safe distance and informed of the updated house rules.
Hand sanitiser – hand sanitiser is available around the house. Please use this regularly.
Social distancing – please maintain a 2m distance from those not in your household group. We will keep our distance as much as possible; we ask that you do the same.
Face coverings – we will be wearing masks when interacting with guests inside Glenartney.
Communal areas – our lounges are open to use. We ask that you are considerate to other guests and adhere to social distancing rules. Tea and coffee making facilities will only be available your bedroom, however, you are welcome to enjoy your drinks in the lounges. Yummy cake is still available, individually wrapped for you to enjoy.
Guest fridge – our guest fridge is available for chilling drinks only. Glasses and bottle openers are available on request.
Room cleaning – to limit the risk of contamination we will only service rooms for longer stays. Additional towels etc can be requested throughout your stay.
Soft furnishings – we have removed some of our soft furnishings throughout the house.
House information – this will be available online. Details will be provided prior to your stay.
Cleaning protocols – new cleaning procedures are in place. These have been set in line with Government guidelines. At certain times access to communal areas may be restricted to allow for cleaning.
Feeling unwell – if you begin to feel unwell with Covid-19 symptoms, you should self isolate and book a test. Once you have received advice from NHS Scotland, please let us know so we can help.
Continental breakfast will be served in our breakfast room. It will include local, Scottish and homemade items and will be brought to your table along with fresh tea/coffee and toast.
You will be asked to select a time slot for breakfast to stagger arrival times.
If you would prefer not to eat in the breakfast room, a grab & go option will be available on request.
Checkout will be contactless and keys should be left in the key drop box at reception. Guests must checkout no later than 10.30am.
Left luggage - all luggage will need to be taken with you when you leave.
